As seasons change, the 3m-4m depth range is critical for most fields. Due to the stable water temperature and abundance of bait fish, navigating this range quickly and effectively can be challenging. Long-distance casting of deep crankbaits is usually accomplished through large, heavy bodies with a weight transfer system. However, due to the high concentrations of fishing pressure in larger lakes, deep crankbaits with smaller bodies surpass conventional size expectations. Furthermore, varying sizes of bait fish demand a wide assortment of crankbaits.

In order to achieve a slim body without a weight transfer system, the “Ex deep” was designed. Despite the added complexity of accomplishing a combination of flight and swimming performance without such a system, the results are extraordinary and unparalleled.

The O.S.P Blitz EX-DR eliminates the need for ribs to guide weight, resulting in a body structure unencumbered by unnecessary bulk, allowing it to swim quickly and draw more strikes through “stop and go” techniques while maintaining effective lure action on a slow retrieve. Its responsiveness is heightened with each action.

Obtaining a 4m maximum depth with 12g weight was a challenge, but we succeeded in this endeavor. The slender, vertically-faceted body, along with its semi-flat sides, creates a flash that entices bass to strike.

The O.S.P Blitz EX-DR has the capacity to emulate a shad’s natural action even under difficult conditions and can achieve a 4m depth rapidly, surpassing the performance expected of a deep crankbait.
